Whether coffee for you is necessary for work, study, or you simply like to enjoy a cup while meeting a new friend, Austin has a great coffee shop for you! I now have my favorites spots and I'm sharing them with you. Each shop is unique from terms of their aesthetics, ambiance and menu. Some even serve full meals! Check out my list:

1. Cosmic Coffee & Beer Garden
These guys embrace sustainability and you will be able to see that as soon as you walk up to the entrance. Their ambiance gives you a feeling of being in the heart of Austin. The place serves best for meeting with friends and enjoying a good weather day. They serve coffee, cocktails, beer and hard seltzers. Food trucks available onsite.

2. Radio Coffee & Beer
The ambiance at Radio is excellent at any time of the day. They constantly have events in their indoor facilities and they serve coffee, beer, wine and cocktails. The place serves best for meeting with friends or to catch a live music event. Food trucks available onsite.

3. The Hive
This place has been expanding so it's now pretty big and quiet however, it's good for various occasions such as a casual meeting if you can get a seat near the front entrance or you can sit in the back to focus and do some work. They also have a big patio where large groups can gather. They serve coffee, beer, sodas and food.

4. Summer Moon
This place has several locations. They are known for their wood-fire roasting process and their "moon milk". Some locations serve Tacodeli breakfast tacos! This place is best to catch up with a friend or to do some work.

5. Palomino Coffee
This place is located on the east side and it recently became one of my favorites. Their indoor architecture will transport you back to Santa Fe, NM. They serve coffee and baked goods. The place is great to get some work done. They have outside sitting in front of the building

6. Captain Quackenbush's Coffeehouse
These guys have three locations in Austin. The one in South Austin has a full bakery and they also serve Tacodeli breakfast tacos. The place is great to get some work done.

7. Teal House Coffee & Bakery
I stumbled at this place when I stopped to get gas at the gas station next to it and I was very surprised by their yummy baked goods. This is a red trailer off Slaughter Ln in Southeast Austin. Make sure to read their story on their website to learn more about the owners. This location is suited for a quick stop but you will not be disappointed!

8. Patika
I call this place tiny but mighty. They serve a full menu of breakfast, lunch and brunch. Their parking is in the back so don't let the small place fool you. This place is great to get a good light lunch while catching up with a friend or to focus and get some work done. They have a nice patio in the back and it's mostly shaded.

9. Jos Coffee
The location in South Congress is my favorite. This location is best to catch up with friends as it is all outdoors. They serve breakfast tacos, coffee and some sweets.

10. Mozart's Coffee Roasters
Mozart's is the coffee shop where you take your out-of-town visitors to, even if they don't like coffee. With its waterfront location and amazing views overlooking the hills, you can enjoy even a cup of water at any time of the day. They do serve amazing coffee, snacks, sweets and savories.
